I Heart My City : Banda Aceh

When someone comes to visit me in "Serambi Mecca", the first place I take them is to go eat some great cheap eats on the street and it would be uncomplete if I did't get them to feel the enormity of Aceh coffe, Especially those who have been predicated as addicted. 

Have a sip of hot aromatic Aceh’s coffee and visit the cocoon of one of the world’s best. Hardly can you find a place in Indonesia like Aceh when it comes to coffee. It is a long held tradition that blends with daily necessity where people in and around Aceh translate it into coffee drinking habit in the province’s ubiquitous coffee houses.

The best time to visit my city is between March to October, Becouse the weather is perfect, Aceh is the perfect city to spand your long holiday. any place where you can see the sun ever day is just about heaven.

You can explore the city passed though neat forest and beautiful natural scenery. a perfect combination of the historical and the sanctity of nature.

There are several museums that must to be visited, one of them is Tsunami Museum, the museum trays to capture how tsunami disester distroys Banda Aceh. 

It's one of best museum, scratch the museums and spend your time walking around the different parts of town. so much life is lived outdoors in Aceh that the best way to soak it up and learn is simply to keep your eyes open.

The best place to spend time outdoors in my city is on the montain, Leuser National Park one of the Bigest natural park in Indonesia and it is located in the edge of the town, near by Takengon for sure. 

You can tell if someone is from my city if they eat "Nasi Gurih" it is a must when you stay overnight in Banda Aceh, it is rice steamed in coconut milk. it has exotic flavor and sold in many coffe shops and do not forget to tray Mie Aceh (Special Noodle from Aceh) when you come to fisit me :)

some people ask me what to do In my city "Banda Aceh", Hmm..oke let me tell you one things, when you are in Banda Aceh, it is best to see and learn the city, its legends and the stories.

First, lets start to know the story about Aceh Tsunami Disester in 2004, you can find it out in Museum Tsunami Aceh.

Second, Grand Mosque of Baiturrahman which is located in the center of Banda Aceh, formarly it was Sultan "King" Aceh's Mosque.

This Mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in Indonesia. which has the form of nice, carvind an attrectice, spacious courtyard and very cool to be inside the mosque.

The mausoleum of Sultan Iskandar Muda : Iskandar muda was the on of the Sultan of Aceh, under his sultanate achieved its greatest territorial extent and was the strongest power and weathiest state in the western Indonesia.

And many other places that most be visited. so what are you waiting for?? lets visit Aceh !!
